Deadline extended: Submit your application by 15 February

The Call to participate in the next Una Europa PhD Workshop in Cultural Heritage is now open!

Doctoral researchers from across our 11 partner universities are invited to join us at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne from 23 to 29 June 2024 to connect with their fellow Cultural Heritage researchers and broaden their knowledge by taking an interdisciplinary approach to the conservation and restoration of heritage.

Organised in the framework of the Una Europa Doctoral Programme in Cultural Heritage, this PhD Workshop is open to doctoral researcher currently enrolled at any of the 11 Una Europa partner universities.

The Workshop aims to bring together doctoral researchers and scholars from all fields and/or specialties of heritage, who are interested in studying the complex process of adjustments, collaborations and (or) conflicts in relation to the complex and intersectional issues of conservation and restoration of heritage in all its forms and acceptations. The event offers participants insights from different backgrounds and perspectives, facilitating access to new knowledge through a transdisciplinary approach and creating synergies with industry and the private sector in the field of Cultural Heritage.

Cultural Heritage at Una Europa

Cultural Heritage is one of six research and teaching Focus Areas of Una Europa. Since 2019, the alliance's partner universities have developed, implemented and launched many research and training activities under the Cultural Heritage umbrella, most notably the Una Europa Doctoral Programme in Cultural Heritage and several PhD workshops on different topics related to heritage.

Following previous PhD Workshops in Paris (2020), Bologna and Krakow (2021), Helsinki & Edinburgh (2022) and Madrid (2022), this PhD Workshop will take place in Paris on June 23-29, 2024.

The Una Europa PhD Workshop is a format initiated under the 1Europe project and developed under Una.Futura as part of the activities of the Una Europa Cultural Heritage Self-Steering Committee.
