Una Europa is striving to create educational initiatives that provide everyone with the opportunity to learn about sustainability, to make sure we all have the necessary skills for a more sustainable future. One of these initiatives is the Joint Micro-qualification in Sustainability, which aims to give students of all backgrounds an introduction to the essential topics of sustainability.
The micro-qualification will be a 20-credit package of courses. But what should be included? And how can present it in a manner that will interest students?
That’s where we need the help of our students!
The aim of this workshop is to give Una Europa students the opportunity to learn more about what is being planned for our micro-qualification in Sustainability, and provide thoughts and feedback on the content, methods, and aims. The workshop is organised by the academic team behind the micro-qualification in sustainability, and it provides a welcoming space for students to engage in dialogue about the idea and purpose behind the micro-qualification, and how to make it attractive to students.
After a short introduction to Una Europa and the micro-qualification, participants will spend most of this workshop in breakout rooms, discussing with other students and the academic staff leading the development of each of the planned courses. This workshop will be an open space for discussion, and ideas and thoughts will be documented on Miro.
Working with students to ensure our formats are valuable to them
Including the voices of students is essential to creating initiatives that will be interesting and valuable to them. This is a great opportunity opportunity to share thoughts, to shape the future of Una Europa and how the work of this micro qualification and other micro-qualifications or formats will proceed in the future.

- 14:00 - 14:30 Welcome to the workshop, icebreakers, agenda, introduction to Una Europa and the micro-qualification
- 14:30 - 15:30 Three rounds of breakout rooms, where participants will be moved to different rooms to facilitate discussion of different courses and topics
- 15:30 - 16:00 Findings from each breakout room are summarised, with time for comments, learnings, what’s next and how to stay involved!
