Diversity, equity and inclusion

Introduction to resource materials

The Diversity Council offers a range of resources and guidelines to help Una Europa colleagues integrate diversity and inclusion principles into the planning and implementation of Una Europa activities. Please explore the resources below for more information.

Una Europa Code of Conduct for Events

Una Europa's Code of Conduct establishes the principles for professional conduct and interaction to create a supportive, collaborative, and respectful environment. These principles serve as a shared framework to guide interactions, foster mutual understanding, and ensure that everyone involved feels heard and respected.

The Code of Conduct should be sent to the participants prior to the event, or even together with registration.

It is recommended to include the Code of Conduct in your event materials e.g. booklet. If possible, have a moment to reflect the document with your group for feedback and discussion.

Diversity and Inclusion Guidelines for Una Europa In-Person Events

Are you organising a summer school, student congress or other type of event?

Please avail of our guidelines to embrace diversity and inclusion in your Una Europa event.

Diversity and Inclusion in Teaching Material and Methods

This toolkit emphasizes the importance of embedding diversity, equity and inclusion in the curriculum, teaching methods and material, to create a more inclusive and equitable educational environment.

With this toolkit, you can foster learning spaces that are welcoming and supportive, particularly for students from minoritized backgrounds and in vulnerable conditions.

Toolkit for Inclusive Recruitment

This toolkit situates inclusive recruitment within the broader context of HEI, highlighting its importance and impact, and it provides a practical guide outlining specific strategies to enhance inclusivity throughout the recruitment process.

This toolkit covers topics such as the pillars of an inclusive recruitment framework, guidelines for inclusive pre-recruitment, guidelines for selection, and finally guidelines for post-selection.
