The Lifelong Learning Certificate aims to train the European workforce across a wide range of sectors – including industry, agrifood, healthcare, logistics, public administration and services – to become competent and ‘data-aware’ knowledge workers, able to understand, critically evaluate and meaningfully engage with how data is used within organisations to generate socio-economic value.

The course takes a non-technical approach to introduce professionals to the fundamentals of data science, equipping them with the skills to understand the importance of data-driven decision making and interact effectively with technical data science teams.

By combining perspectives from statistics, computer science and real-world applications, the programme helps participants understand how data science can generate innovation and socioeconomic value in different professional contexts.

The course is structured into three complementary modules:

• Two online modules focused on building core data literacy and data analysis skills through self-paced learning and expert tutoring
• A final in-person module dedicated to the practical application of these competences in real-world, multidisciplinary contexts.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive the corresponding ECTS credits within their home degree programme.
